Comments: Double conversion above 7 MHz. ±400 Hz dial accuracy. Tunes in thirty 1 MHz bands. Requires a speaker. An outstanding receiver and a very long lived model. Early units had white S-Meter, later had brown S-Meter, dial-lock and round logo. Very late units substituted mechanical AM filter for T4 & T5.
Variants: Model 51S-1A (R-1430/UR) is 28VDC. Model 51S-1B is equipped with an IF Out Jack on the rear. Model 51S-1F is rack mounted with 2.4/.8 kHz (R-1156/GR), also model 51S-1F with 2.75 kHz (R-1156A/GR). Model 51S-1AF is 28 VDC, rack mounted version with 2.4/.8 or 2.75 kHz.
